Elizabeth STEVENS 1855-1919, Sydney, NSW, Australia, died Annandale, NSW, Australia.
These ancestors were born between 1817 and 1855 and died between 1872 and 1919. The longest living of My Sixteen was Ellen Dean at 87. The youngest to die was Edwin Walton at 36. The least number of children to a couple was 1 to Charles Sampson Teeson and Ellen Dean. The highest number of children was 12 to William Flicker and Alice Jane Bailey. The longest widowhood was 47 years for Isabella Cawood. Only one husband outlived his wife, Theophilus Drinkwater by 17 years. Of the 11 who came to Australia from another country, there was only one known to have returned to his home country, John William Giles. Only two widows remarried, Elizabeth Foreman and Alice Jane Bailey. 6 of the 8 couples named a son after their father. Only 3 named a daughter after their mother and only one was their first name.
I was hoping to find a common name to make us cousins! Odds really were against it but you never know!
