50-Day Family History Blogging Challenge - Day 18
Fragments of Family History – Thomas Rose – Appearance
Jennifer Jones from TRACKING DOWN THE FAMILY has initiated a 50-Day Family History Blogging Challenge. This is a big writing commitment, but I have decided to participate. I have decided my topic will be “Fragments of Family History”. I will write short posts of newspaper items or single stories connected to my family history. This may expand over the 50 days.
Thomas Rose – Appearance
Those of us with convicts ancestors in Australia are lucky that there are descriptions of many of our convicts. What did my 3x Great grandfather, Thomas Rose, look like?
Height: 5 feet 4 inches (162.5cm)
Complexion: Fair, ruddy
Hair: Fair
Eyes: Grey1
There is a painting of Thomas Rose on a horse somewhere in the extended family, however I don’t know where it is. The painting would be much like this one of Stephen Butts.
